Teaser images reveal a sharp nose, large air dams, and an aggressive front splitter.
The engine air intake looks almost identical to the original Countach.
Engine bay shot confirms a V12 motor, possibly a mild-hybrid unit.
Just a couple of days after announcing the revival of the Countach supercar nameplate, Lamborghini has given us an idea of what we can expect on the design front. From the looks of it, the new supercar will be a blend of retro and modern Lamborghini models.
The first image reveals a fairly sharp front end with a slim grille that features ‘Countach’ badging, not too far off the original Countach from the 70s. Below the nose, there seems to be a massive air dam opening, with a fairly protruding front splitter -- a blend of modern Lamborghini designs.
What really pays homage to the original supercar icon is the second taser image. It shows the squarish engine air intake and louvres behind the passenger compartment that are almost identical to the original Countach. This confirms the wedge-shaped design philosophy that was hinted at in the first teaser where the supercar was under wraps.
The third image reveals the engine bay and lying inside it a V12 engine. Technical details are yet to surface, but we could expect this unit to get a 48-volt mild-hybrid setup like the Sián hypercar.
With this fast flow of information on the new Lamborghini Countach, its debut may just be around the corner even though the carmaker is yet to announce a date.
