Earlier this month, Renault had delayed the launch of the Captur, which was supposed to take place right before the festive season. And now, finally, the French manufacturer has confirmed that it will be launching the new Captur in the first half of November. The bookings for the Captur are already underway and you can book one for yourself by paying Rs 25,000 at the manufacturer's official website. The Captur is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 12-15 lakh.
The Captur is Renault’s premium offering and will be slotted above the Duster. The standard features offered on the Captur include dual airbags, ABS, EBD, 17-inch alloys, infinity instrument cluster, smart access card and a touchscreen infotainment system. Renault has also come up with a new Platine variant especially for the Indian market that comes equipped with features like golden-themed interiors, automatic climate control, cruise control, hill start assist and rear parking camera with sensors. Other features on offer include push-button start, rain sensing wipers, rear AC vents and LED headlamps.
To make the Captur stand out, it is offered with two customization options- Diamond Deck and Urban Connect. They both offer different graphics options to suit your preferences.
The Captur will be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 110PS of power at 3850rpm and 250Nm of torque at 1750rpm. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. A petrol engine producing 106PS of power at 5600rpm and 142Nm of peak torque at 4000rpm will also be launched soon, and will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Automatic transmission and four-wheel drive options remain off the book for the Captur.
