Renault India has sneaked in a new diesel variant of the Duster SUV called the RxZ Plus by removing the rear AC vents on the top end model. The new variant is essentially the same as the diesel 110 PS RxZ Option Pack minus the rear air-con unit.
According to Delhi-based Renault dealerships, the change was influenced by customer feedback. Customers complained of insufficient rear seat space due to the air con hogging up most of the space for the 5th passenger in the middle.
The Diesel RxZ Plus has been priced at Rs 12.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs 5,000 cheaper than the Diesel RxZ Option Pack. The variant continues to be powered by the 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine that churns out 110PS of power and 248Nm of torque. Bells and whistles on the compact SUV include leather seats, a satellite navigation system and faux wood finish just as in the Option Pack.
