It’s no surprise that Renault India has joined the bandwagon of carmakers who are trying their level best to finish the calendar year on a strong note. But the strategy to get more footfall isn’t necessarily the same for everyone. For instance, while Skoda announced that it would be hiking prices of its cars from January 1, 2018, Tata Motors has gone the other way and introduced year-end offers for some of its products. Thankfully, Renault India has opted to go with the latter of the two strategies and is offering benefits on the Lodgy, Duster and the Kwid.
The Captur doesn’t make the list for obvious reasons. It was launched in November this year and introducing discounts in the very next month doesn’t portray a healthy image. Anyway, let’s focus at what Renault is offering with the other three products of its four-product Indian product portfolio.
Renault has announced that it will offer all variants of the Kwid, except the AMT-equipped ones, with additional accessories worth Rs 10,000 along with a special rate of interest of just 7.99 per cent. If you are after the AMT variants, Renault will offer accessories worth Rs 15,000 and the same low rate of interest for financing the car. However, the Climber variants are not being offered with any sort of discount. Customers can avail these offers from any authorised Renault dealership across the country.
Renault is offering various benefits for eight out the ten variants of the Lodgy. The STD and RxE variants get benefits worth up to Rs 60,000, which comprises of a cash discount and an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000 each. For the Stepway variants, Renault is offering insurance at Re 1, an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000, Rs 10,000 on exchange with Renault Selection and an additional corporate bonus of Rs 7,000. Only the two World Edition variants miss out on discount offers. Mind you, these offers are up for grabs for all states except Rajasthan.
Like the Kwid, the offers available on Duster SUV are available through all Renault dealerships in the country. The RxZ 110 MT (diesel) variant is available with a cash discount of Rs 55,000, insurance at Re 1 and an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000. The RxZ 110 AMT gets the same insurance and exchange bonus figures amongst its list of benefits, but with a heavier cash discount of Rs 90,000, additional Rs 10,000 discount on exchange with Renault Selection and a corporate discount of Rs 7,000. For the rest of the variants, except the RxS CVT Petrol, a cash discount of Rs 30,000, insurance at Re 1 and an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000 are available.
