First of all even though the company has been around for more than a hundred years now, how great does the name Rolls-Royce 'Motor Cars' sound! The name itself is enough to warm the cockles of your heart.
The super luxury car maker has decided to expand their bespoke operations which have seen a significant increase in demand for personalised features and items in their motor cars. And it’s not like a unique feature is outsourced for production to a place where it can be built for much less. The bespoke operations of Rolls-Royce is based in West Sussex in the UK, where each unique item is hand crafter from the finest materials for top notch quality which ordinary machines just cannot achieve. The bespoke operations team will double in number to 50 Bespoke Experts which includes designers, engineers and project management staff.
Rolls-Royce say their bespoke operations are not limited to design and development of automotive parts, it allows their customers to ‘commission’ to personalise their motor cars to suit their personal lifestyle. That includes everything from a selection of luxurious materials used inside the car, to the colour of the leather, the wood and the metal used to adorn the interiors. And it does not end there, items as random as unique picnic sets, storage spaces in size and shape as demanded by their opulent customers for their favourite belongings will all be catered to by the motor car maker.
Jolyon Nash, Member of the Board and Director, Sales and Marketing commented on the expansion of Rolls-Royce Bespoke Operations by saying, “The ability to bespoke one’s vehicle has always been at the heart of Rolls-Royce so it is very encouraging to see that after more than one hundred years at the very pinnacle of the automotive world, our Bespoke services are still very much in demand from customers all over the world today”.
It would be worth explaining at this point that the current bespoke options list at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is not exactly very limited, in fact its already pretty huge. Only one’s imagination can be used to think up the additions to the new list of unique features that will be on offer once the new Bespoke Operation team is set up.
