Performance exhaust manufacturer Termignoni has launched a racing exhaust for the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Although a racing exhaust is not something you'd normally associate with an RE motorcycle, some of its nifty features are sure to make a difference to the ADV's performance.
For starters, the Termignoni exhaust is built from stainless steel and features a black rear cap. It sports an upswept design, which should help in improving off-roading and water-wading capabilities. Due to its lightweight construction, the new exhaust is 2kg lighter than the stock one, which should improve the performance of the motorcycle. Power and torque figures have also increased marginally by 0.8PS and 1.65Nm respectively.
Termignoni has also released a chart showcasing this increase in power. With the addition of the exhaust, the Royal Enfield Himalayan produces 24.4PS of power at 6,200rpm and 31.8Nm of torque at 4,200rpm as opposed to 23.8PS of power and 30.8Nm of torque.
The full kit consists of an exhaust, aluminium spacer, spacer silent block, self-locking nut M8, screw M8x30, washer silent block, and a washer 8x24.
Unfortunately, the exhaust is only available in Europe and is unlikely to come here due to its premium price. However, we're keeping our fingers crossed.
Note - These power figures are developed at the wheel.
