The new Skoda Superb has made its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in its fourth-generation avatar. The prices of the premium sedan are expected to be announced later this year. As part of the generational update, it gets noteworthy design updates and more added features. Let’s take an in-depth look at what all the premium positioned Skoda has to offer:
The new Skoda Superb still looks very familiar as it has an evolutionary exterior design. It features a bold, chrome-accented butterfly grille flanked by sharp LED Matrix headlights accentuated by LED DRLs. The sculpted bonnet looks aggressive, while the bumper integrates sleek fog lamps, enhancing its premium appeal from the front.
The Superb's long wheelbase and clean shoulder lines highlight its executive stance. It sits on stylish multi-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, and the sharp shoulder lines give it character.
At the rear, the Superb showcases C-shaped LED taillights connected by a chrome strip, exuding a modern and refined look. The bold SKODA lettering on the tailgate further enhances its identity.
Step inside, and the Superb welcomes you with a spacious and luxurious cabin. The use of soft-touch materials, leather upholstery, and ambient lighting creates an inviting atmosphere. The dashboard has been fully redesigned, featuring a large floating touchscreen infotainment and most importantly, physical knobs for various functionalities.
Its features include a 13-inch free floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated and heated front seats, and a 12-speaker Canton sound system. Rear-seat passengers enjoy generous legroom, making it an excellent choice for chauffeur-driven buyers.
Passenger safety is ensured by multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC) and level-2 ADAS.
The international-spec Skoda Superb offers multiple powertrain options. It is powered by a 2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. Additionally, there is a 150 PS 1.5-litre turbo petrol mild hybrid engine mated to a 7-speed DCT and a 204 PS 1.5-litre turbo petrol plug-in hybrid paired with a 6-speed DCT. The lineup also includes a 193 PS diesel engine paired with a 7-speed DCT. The hybrid engines come with front-wheel drive only, while the turbo petrol and diesel engines also offer all-wheel drive options. We’ll have to wait to see what spec the India spec model retains from this list but we reckon, it might proceed with the 2-litre turbo petrol unit.
The Skoda Superb will slot in the premium sedan segment, with a starting price expected around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the Toyota Camry Hybrid on our shores.
