Powering the Skoda Rapid TSI Automatic will be a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that develops 110PS of power and 175Nm of torque. Just like the earlier Rapid 1.6-litre MPI AT, the upcoming Rapid TSI AT will use a 6-speed torque converter instead of the quick-shifting dual-clutch transmission that was offered with the now-discontinued Rapid diesel. Will it affect the Rapid’s fun-to-drive nature? We can only answer that once we get behind the wheels of the Rapid TSI AT. So stay tuned.
