Unveiled as the new Korando C at the Seoul Marina in Yeouido recently, this face-lifted model has been launched as the 2014 Korando C in South Korea, and in all probability its headed India’s way as well.
The interiors and exteriors of the new Korando C have been majorly improved and the company is promoting this as an SUV for urban driving as well as outdoor adventure.
It features new projector headlamps with LEDs, a revised front grille and sporty looking air intakes integrated into the bumper. The rear gets now looks sleeker as compared to before the tail lamps have certainly changed for the better. All black and sporty red interiors on the inside give the Korando C that extra bit of style.
Creature comforts in this premium SUV ventilated front seats, a 7-inch touch screen multimedia system with 3D maps and navigation along with Harman Group sound system.
Tuned for better overall fuel efficiency and NVH levels, the Korando C uses a 2.0-litre diesel engine with a 151PS or 178PS state of tune, both of which are mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission with an option of AWD.
Should Mahindra consider bringing the SsangYong Korando C to India, its better known and more experienced rivals like the Honda CR-V and the Chevrolet Captiva would immediately take notice.
