Suzuki has released the pricing for the Inazuma 250F in the UK market thereby indicating that the motorcycle would be available on sale in other markets across the globe. Until now, the Suzuki Inazuma 250F was on sale only in the Japanese two-wheeler market since its launch in September 2015 where it was christened the Suzuki GSR250F. The Suzuki Inazuma 250F has been priced at Rs 3.8 lakh in the UK market. On the Indian context, it is already known that the Inazuma will be taken off the market owing to lack of sales. This news comes despite the fact that Suzuki slashed the price of the motorcycle by a whopping Rs 1 lakh making it the cheapest twin-cylinder offering in our market. The main reason for the lack of interest among Indian consumers is the fact that the Inazuma isn’t the most pretty looking motorcycle around. This aspect can be overturned if Suzuki brings in the Inazuma 250F which with its full-faired design should impress the Indian buyers. Also the fairing and windscreen should provide the rider with better protection from windblast at high speeds which enhances the touring capability of the standard Inazuma.
No changes have been made on the mechanical front, and the Suzuki Inazuma 250F will be powered by the same 250cc motor as seen on the Inazuma. The liquid-cooled, parallel-twin mill churns out 26PS of max power and torque rating stands at 24Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox while braking responsibilities are taken care of by Nissin disc brakes at front and rear. The Suzuki Inazuma 250F employs semi double-cradle chassis, and features telescopic forks at the front and seven-way adjustable mono-shock suspension at the back. The fairing has hiked the kerb weight by 6kg and the Suzuki GSR250F tips the scale at 189kg.
