When ZigWheels reviewed the Suzuki Inazuma, we were impressed by its silky motor, top-notch build quality and found it a fine bike for relaxed touring. But the major grouse that we had with the first 250cc offering from Suzuki was its steep pricing. Suzuki seems to have taken note of this subject and has reduced the price of the Inazuma by close to Rs 1 lakh. The Suzuki Inazuma is now available at Rs 2.43 lakh (on road Mumbai), which is almost 30 per cent less than its launch price.
This move should result in the sales of the Inazuma receiving a shot in the arm as owing to its lofty pricing many prospective clients stayed away. The booking amount for the cut-price Suzuki Inazuma is Rs 5,000 and the waiting period for the bike is almost 45 days. There were reports that Suzuki India would refund Rs 1 lakh to existing owners but there seems to be no clarity on this matter and we will have to wait for an official confirmation from Suzuki on this end.
The Suzuki Inazuma is powered by a 248cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine pumping out 26PS of power and torque rating stands at 24Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, while braking responsibilities are taken care of by Nissin disc brakes at both front and rear. The Inazuma employs semi double-cradle chassis, and features telescopic forks at the front and seven-way adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. Other notable feature includes LCD display speedometer and the three-spoke aluminium wheels and the bike tips the scale at 183 kg. The Suzuki Inazuma will be pitched against the likes of the Hyosung Aquila 250, Honda CBR 250R and the KTM 390 Duke. Also, the new pricing of Rs 2.43 lakh makes the Suzuki Inazuma the cheapest twin cylinder motorcycle on sale in the Indian market currently. Also Read: Suzuki Inazuma Review
