There’s some very exciting news for Suzuki Hayabusa owners out there. Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), has just announced an exclusive community for Hayabusa owners in India - Hayabusa Creed. To unveil this unique club, Suzuki organised a Hayabusa ride-out across four cities - Mumbai, Pune, Banglore and Delhi. The ride-outs culminated with the unveiling of ‘Hayabusa Creed’ logo and the riders being inducted as the first ever members of the community.
Commenting on the occasion, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, SIMPL, said, “We are excited to unveil Hayabusa Creed – the first-ever community exclusive for Hayabusa owners in India. The 'Hayabusa Day' celebrates the passion and spirit of owning and riding a Hayabusa. Hayabusa Creed is an attempt to express our gratitude to all Hayabusa owners in India who personify these attributes and have contributed to the cult status that this legendary motorcycle enjoys. Hayabusa Creed is a platform for all the members to celebrate the pride of ownership and enjoy the exclusivity and privileges customized for this community. On behalf of everyone one at Suzuki two-wheelers, I welcome all members, and wish them a very happy riding experience”.
This was the second year in a row that a multi-city ride-out was conducted by Suzuki. It had previously organised ‘World Hayabusa Day’ on August 23, last year, where participants were given memorabilia on behalf of Suzuki. All these rides are a part of the company’s ambitious plans to expand the ‘Big-bike’ culture in India. The Hayabusa is considered as the Holy Grail of bikes among motorheads. Its legendary status remains unparalleled, which is not very surprising considering the fact that the bike is powered by a 1340cc monster of an engine that transmits 197PS of power and 154Nm of peak torque. The Hayabusa is among the fastest production motorcycles on sale and has always been a popular bike among speed junkies. It is also the first performance motorcycle from the Japanese bike maker’s stable to be locally assembled in India. By managing to assemble the bike in India, Suzuki has been able to price the sports bike aggressively at Rs 13,57,153 which is much cheaper than its arch rival, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R.
Any interested Hayabusa owner can be a part of the community by registering through a microsite created for members of the Hayabusa Creed.
