Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce the Dark Edition variants in the Altroz and Nexon. The all-black vehicles have reached dealers and a select few have commenced bookings ahead of its probable launch in the first week of July. Probably limited to the higher-spec trims, the Dark Edition of both models are likely to command a Rs 20,000 premium as seen on the Harrier.
Both models get a stealthy black colour. Even the model badging is finished in… you guessed it… black. To add a dash of contrast, the alloy wheels are finished in dark grey which nicely blends with the black colour. And to denote that you’re driving the black finished car, both models get a Dark Edition badging on the front fenders.
On the inside, the dashboard and upholstery is finished in black. Also, a glossy black insert on the dash that replaces the light coloured trims found in the standard model.
Apart from the introduction of an all-black colour, both models should remain mechanically identical with no changes to their feature list. To know more about the Altroz and Nexon, read our first drive review:
The Dark Edition of both models will appeal for those looking for a sportier looking vehicle. Currently, the Nexon is priced between Rs 7.20 lakh and Rs 12.96 lakh while the Altroz costs from Rs 5.80 lakh to Rs 9.56 lakh.
