  • Cosmetic changes to the BS6 Tiago include a revised front bumper, new grille, and slimmer headlamps.
  • The BS6 Tigor receives near-identical cosmetic changes to the Tiago as well as LED DRLs on the fog lamp housing.
  • The BS6 Nexon borrows design cues from the Nexon EV.
  • Expect more details to be revealed at the Altroz’ launch.

Coming off the back of Tata Motors announcing its all-new BS6-compliant product portfolio, the carmaker has now opened bookings for the BS6 Nexon, Tiago and Tigor for a token amount of Rs 11,000. All three models are confirmed for a launch later this month. In addition to this, the images of the three cars reveal various cosmetic changes to set them apart from their BS4 counterparts.

Tata Nexon

The Nexon’s image released by Tata Motors looks near identical to its all-electric sibling that was unveiled back in December. Familiar bits include an aggressive front end with sleek projector headlamps as well as a new grille. In profile, it also comes with new alloy wheels. While the rear-end hasn’t been revealed yet, it is likely to retain the Nexon EV’s setup that consists of tweaked tail lamps. Powering the Nexon could be a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel motor.

Tata Tiago

The Tiago facelift was earlier spied in a camo wrap, sporting design cues from the Altroz hatchback. The Altroz’ image from Tata Motors confirms cosmetic changes like the prototype. These include a new front bumper design, coupled with slimmer headlamps and a new grille design. It also sports a new yellow body shade. While technical specifications haven’t been revealed yet, we expect it to retain the 1.2-litre petrol engine in BS6 guise, while the 1.05-litre diesel motor will be given the boot.

As is the case with the Tiago hatchback, the Tigor sedan also receives exterior changes like a revised front bumper, slimmer headlamps and an Altroz like grille. However, it now features DRLs  around the fog lamp housing. It is also likely to utilise a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine.

Expect all three models to be priced at a premium over their BS4 counterparts. As the month goes by, expect more details to emerge before their expected launch.
