The festive season always brings us discounts and offers on new cars, but this year also brought us limited editions of some of the most popular vehicles. Fortunately, none of these limited edition vehicles is a mere sticker job -- each has unique features and modifications that make them stand out and could even help them retain their value better. Here’s what’s available across different budgets, and remember that they’re only being offered in limited numbers:
Kia Seltos X-Line
Price: Rs 17.79 lakh (petrol AT ) and Rs 18.10 lakh (diesel AT)
At a Rs 45,000 premium, the extra dough you pay for the X-Line trim over the top-spec petrol and diesel automatic Seltos variants isn’t substantial. It gets you matte grey paintwork, larger 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and orange and gloss black accents on the bumpers, wheels, and doors. It is based on the top-spec GTX+ trim.
Toyota Innova Limited Edition
Price: Rs 17.18 lakh to Rs 20.35 lakh
While most special edition models on this list are based on top-spec versions of their respective cars, Toyota’s Limited Edition offer is for the mid-spec Innova GX. It adds features such as a head-up display, 360-degree camera, wireless charger, and door lighting to your Innova GX! You can get the GX Limited Edition with any engine or transmission combination as this is a dealer-level fitment at no extra charge.
BMW 530i M Sport Carbon Edition
Price: Rs 66.30 lakh
Our current petrol prices might be the only reason not to buy a fast, rear-drive BMW such as the 530i M Sport. Its 252PS and 350Nm is enough to get from 0-100kmph in just 6.1 seconds, and the racy M Sport trim makes it subtly different from the regular 5 Series. The new Carbon Edition adds carbon black trim to the grille, bumpers, rear spoiler, and ORVMs. It also gets you black interiors with contrast stitching and black 18-inch alloys. All these come at a premium of nearly Rs 3 lakh, but you get a stealthier-looking sedan for it. To know more, head to this story.
Volkswagen Polo and Vento Matt Editions
Price: Rs 9.99 lakh (Polo), Rs 11.94 lakh (Vento Highline AT), Rs 13.34 lakh (Vento Highline Plus AT)
The Polo Matt Edition, priced similar to the top-spec GT variant, is the most affordable car you can get with a matte paint job from the factory. In the Vento, the matte paint shade and blacked-out exterior trim are also available on the mid-spec Highline AT variant in addition to the top-spec automatic Highline Plus. Know all the details here.
BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition
Price: Rs 53.50 lakh (petrol), Rs 54.90 lakh (diesel)
The long-wheelbase 3 Series Iconic Edition gets you an illuminated front grille and Vernasca rear-seat upholstery, among other cosmetic additions, and it costs less than the top-spec M Sport version! While the modifications add more bling to an already fancy luxury sedan, they come at a premium of Rs 1 lakh over the normal-wheelbase 330Li petrol and 320Ld diesel variants they are based on.
Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition
Price: Rs 10.79 lakh to Rs 11.89 lakh
Based on the well-equipped HTX trim, the Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition comes at a premium of Rs 40,000. Like last year’s Seltos Anniversary Edition, the Sonet gets orange bits on the bumpers, wheels, doors, and grille. It’s available with the 1-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. You can find out the details here.
Skoda Rapid Matte Edition
Price: Rs 11.99 lakh (MT), Rs 13.49 lakh (AT)
This Honda City rival is still a looker, and even more so with the matte grey paintwork and blacked-out wheels and grille. These changes demand a hefty premium of up to Rs 50,000 over the Style variant, but you also get leatherette-Alcantara seats, a new Tellur grey two-tone dashboard, a cabin air purifier, and more powerful headlamps.
