2020 ends on a high note, with most carmakers revealing their plans for the upcoming year

2020 has been a long and a tough year. Regardless, the new year begins with optimism and hope, and like each year, expectations. Such is also the case with the automotive industry. Most carmakers have done their best to recover from the past year’s difficulties and have put forward their plans for the year ahead. Let’s take a look at what some of these plans are like:

Will The Scorpio(N) Sting?

Mahindra has trademarked the names Scorpio Sting and ScorpioN, likely for the next-gen Scorpio which will launch in 2021. The new names could be used to distinguish the next-gen Scorpio from the current-gen version as there is a high possibility that both could be sold side by side. Tata Gravitas Launch, Finally

After numerous delays all the way from April this year, the Gravitas could finally be launched by Tata in February 2021. The Harrier-based SUV will debut in January and is expected to offer both 6-seater, and 7-seater variants. What’s more, it might also get a new dark blue shade which is not offered with the Harrier. Talks about the American carmaker, famous for its self-driving cars, entering the Indian market have been going on for quite some time. Indian Union Minister Nitin Gadhkari has now confirmed the entry of Tesla in India by early 2021, possibly even Q1. The first model to be launched in India will be the entry-level Model 3. 2021 Jeep Compass Spied

Ahead of its January 7 unveil, the facelifted Compass has been spied again. This time it's the interior of the SUV that has been spotted. The facelifted Compass saw its global debut in China earlier this year. The interior remains almost the same when it comes to the dashboard and the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Spicier BMW M5 CS Teased

If there was any doubt or a sense of unfulfillment with the BMW M5 Competition, the Bavarian carmaker has just addressed it. In a teaser for what looks like a more exciting version, BMW has confirmed a 2021 debut for the M5 CS. Aside from being 70 kg lighter than the trim below it, the M5 CS will get the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, but with more grunt.
