With the festive season almost upon us, manufacturers seem prepared with a slew of launches. While three of the car launches this week were of new models, the others were special editions of existing cars. Here are all the important headlines from the past week:
Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition Launched
Kia Motors is celebrating the first anniversary of the Seltos SUV with the launch of a funky limited run Anniversary Edition. Based on the HTX trim, it gets various extra touches including new colour options, orange accents, blacked-out alloy wheels, and redesigned skid plates. BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Arrives In India
The Bavarian brand has finally brought its latest entry-level sedan, the 2 Series Gran Coupe, to India. Based on the 1 Series hatchback, it is offered in two variants powered by a sole diesel engine, for now. Here’s how much it’ll cost you.
Land Rover Defender Launched
Another international model that has made its way to India is the quintessential Land Rover Defender SUV. Offered in two body styles and a sole petrol engine, for now, the Defender has plenty of talking points including its off-road prowess, charming design, and plenty of creature comforts. Audi’s Entry-level Model Rolls Out In India
Audi has gone mainstream with its latest offering for India, the Q2 SUV. It is Audi’s entry-level model and also its most affordable model in India. It is being offered in five trims with a petrol engine. While pricing is similar to that of bigger SUVs, some notable creature comforts have been given a miss. Festive Edition Launches
Volkswagen and Honda have introduced some special edition variants to their models. Volkswagen has added more options to the Polo and Vento automatic variants with the launch of the Red and White editions. To know how they’re priced, head here.
In the case of Honda, the carmaker has launched the Amaze Special Edition. While it is based on the mid-spec S variant, it offers some extra bits. It is also available with both petrol and diesel engines as well as manual and CVT transmissions. It commands a slight premium over the S variant it is based on, which you can find out here.
