Prices for the petrol-powered Innova Crysta have been hiked by up to Rs 44,000 while the diesel variants are pricier by Rs 61,000 depending on the variant you pick. The Leadership Edition also hasn’t been spared and has received a price hike of Rs 30,000, costing Rs 21.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
With the BS6 updates in January 2020 the MPV introduced safety features like hill start assist, emergency brake signal and electronic stability control as standard on all variants.
The Toyota Innova Crysta is powered by two BS6-compliant engine options: a 166PS 2.7-litre petrol engine and a 150PS 2.4-litre diesel engine. Both are offered with either a choice of 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter and drive their rear wheels. We already know that the ballistic 177PS 2.8-litre diesel engine isn’t offered in the BS6-compliant MPV.

The recent price hike of the Innova Crysta now pushes it closer to the Kia Carnival, which starts from Rs 24.95 lakh and sits above the Toyota. Would you pick up the trusty Innova Crysta or spend the extra dime for the Kia? Let us know in the comments below.
