If you thought Triumph's modern classic lineup couldn't get more tempting, think again. The British bike manufacturer recently updated its modern classic lineup with new colour schemes, and boy do they look amazing!
Let’s start things off with the range topper - the Thruxton R. Triumph has replaced the ‘Matte Black’ option with a new ‘Competition Green’ paint scheme, which is reminiscent of the racing green colours that were used on older British race bikes. The new paint scheme looks really good, especially when viewed against the matte black inserts offered on the seat and the engine along with the silver-themed alloy wheels, footpegs and exhaust unit. The gold-coloured Ohlins suspension enhances the vintage look further.
Other members of the modern classic family have received similar updates as well. The bike manufacturer has replaced the older ‘Cranberry Red’ and ‘Aluminium Silver’ options which were available with the Bonneville T120 with a dual-tone ‘Fusion White’ and 'Aegean Blue' scheme, with the former giving the bike a more subtle appearance. Staying true to its name, the Bonneville T120 Black gets a new ‘Matte Black’ paint job instead of the earlier ‘Matte Graphite’ option.
Last but not least, the Bonneville Bobber now comes in a military-themed ‘Khaki Green’ look, replacing the older 'Ironstone' grey option. However, considering the fact that motorcycles draped in military-green colours are not allowed to ply on Indian roads, don’t expect to see them here anytime soon. Triumph is also expected to swap the ‘Matte Silver’ and ‘Matte Black’ offered on the Street Triple RS with a new ‘Crystal White’ and ‘Phantom Black’ paint scheme.
The new colour schemes are limited to UK-spec models for now. However, we hope the bike maker will introduce some of them here as well. As of now, Triumph India has stated that they have "no plans as of yet" to bring the new colours here, but considering our fondness for military-coloured cruisers, we think that might change in the near future. Until then, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed!
