Executives from Volkswagen Group India recently had a meeting with representatives from the Government of India’s Ministry of Heavy Industries and ARAI wherein they discussed the VW diesel cars emissions issue in detail. At the end of the meeting, it was finally agreed that Volkswagen Group India will present its results from the evaluations regarding the diesel engine emissions by the end of November 2015 to the Government of India.
Further steps to be taken to resolve this matter will depend on the findings from these evaluations. Volkswagen Group India confirms that it has received a notice from ARAI and will respond to the same by 30th November 2015.
In its official press release, Volkswagen Group India reiterates that it will continue to fully co-operate with the Government of India in this matter.
