Volkswagen India has introduced special editions of its Polo hatchback and Vento sedan. Named the Polo Select and Vento Celeste, both these models are available exclusively for the Highline manual transmission variants and in the top-end DSG variant of the Vento. The special edition models are currently available for a limited period at all authorised dealerships across the country. Apart from the cosmetic upgrades, both cars remain mechanically unchanged.
For the exterior, both cars come with side body moulding in black, ORVM covers in carbon finish and a black roof foil. The Polo Select also gets a trunk garnish at the rear while the Vento Celeste gets a black painted lip spoiler.
Inside, the cars receive a carbon finish centre console, detachable window blinds and new textile mats. The Vento additionally gets a Blaupunkt audio unit with navigation in continuation to the steering mounted controls for audio and Bluetooth. The Polo, on the other hand, gets scuff plates on all four doors and Desert Beige seat covers with honeycomb design.
The prices for the special edition kits vary from city to city. On contacting a dealership in Mumbai, it has been learned that the premium for the Polo Select is set at Rs 25,000, while the Vento Celeste will set you back by Rs 45,000.
