WagonR gets WizeR

It is a bold new step in the direction of unique marketing tactics and at the same time this latest brand propagation strategy from the Maruti Suzuki stable is also rather entertaining. The WagonR now has its very own brand mascot-Mr. WizeR. Mr. WizeR is a cartoon character that has some of the inherent traits of Maruti's 'Smart Car' the WagonR.

Mr. WizeR is a wise, smart and witty fellow who also has great leadership skills. Where do you get to meet Mr. WizeR? Well, he is making his debut in a comic strip in a leading English daily so don't miss out on the action that Mr. WizeR brings with him!

Commenting on this unique strategy, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Chief General Manager (Marketing), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said "The objective of launching Mr. WizeR is to revitalise the brand and beat the clutter with an innovative concept, while communicating the core strength of the brand in the most effective manner. Mr. WizeR embodies the values - smartness and leadership -- that brand WagonR stands for."

Mr. WizeR has made his all-India debut today and in the near future he will be seen all over the internet, in magazines and on TV shelling out solutions to everyday issues faced by the common man-all done in his unique characteristic witty style.

From a layman point of view there is no doubt that Maruti is really going the whole hog on a rather experimental and unique brand promotion strategy, however if nothing else at least Mr. WizeR promises to be rather entertaining.
