Swiss watchmaker Tissot has had a unique partnership with MotoGP as its official timekeeper since the 2001 season. Celebrating this association, Tissot introduced a MotoGP collection in its portfolio replete with some interesting limited edition watches. This year, it’s the T-Race MotoGP 2020 Chronograph. The face features the hour and minute dials with Swiss quartz movement, with inset 30-minutes and 1/10th of a second counters. The centre counter has a 60-second chronograph hand.

The Tissot T-Race MotoGP Chronograph comes in a unique large round box designed as a wheel that even gets a rubber tyre. Motorcycle influences can be seen on the dial face which is shaped like a disc brake. The dials are made to resemble a motorcycle cockpit while the MotoGP logo is inscribed on the backplate.

The case is made of a special 316L type stainless steel with a black PVD coating. It gets a sapphire crystal face known for its scratch-resistant properties and an anti-reflective coating. The watch is waterproof up to 100m and weighs just 120gm, half of the Hublot MP-05 LaFerrari timepiece.
The black strap is made of a unique rubber, sandwiched between an embossed cow leather outer and synthetic inner layer.

The Tissot T-Race MotoGP Chronograph watch is admittedly a chunky watch and not to everyone’s taste but it scores high on sportiness and is a must-have if you are a MotoGP aficionado. Its large buttons and crown should be easy to use with a glove on. It costs 750 USD (around Rs 57,000) in the USA and is limited to 4,999 pieces.
