The world's first all-wheel drive crossover convertible, the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet will be on display at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show from the 17-18th of November.

Although the term "Murano" finds its origins in the glass blowing region of Venice, Italy it is a badge more famous on Nissan's first - ever mid-size crossover SUV offering to the auto world in the year 2003. The Japanese soft-roader has evolved both physically and technically since then, and in its second-generation, the 2011 Nissan Murano is considered by many as of one Nissan’s safest SUV's yet.

However, the term Murano will no longer be isolated to Nissan's 2.5L mini SUV, but will now find itself on the all new crossover convertible to be showcased by Nissan at this years Los Angeles Auto Show. It's called the Murano Crosscabriolet and apart from its all-wheel drive capability delivers the open-air exhilaration of a convertible, while extending the versatility of the Murano.

With room for four adult, and additional space for light luggage (even with the top down), the two door Murano CrossCabriolet represents an entirely new era in concept and design for Nissan. The Murano CrossCabriolet is set to go on sale in Europe early 2011.
