The scooter is understood to return an impressive 57.7kmpl

After launching in Taiwan late last year, the quirky little Yamaha Vinoora 125 is now on sale in Vietnam. And straightaway, you wish this googly-eyed scooter came in a bright banana yellow colour to go along with its Bob the Minion-like face.

Instead, you get sombre and mature colour options like matte black with a brown seat and a grey-ish blue with a black seat. Unfortunately, these colours don’t really complement the funky design; some bright options would have definitely done the trick.

There are no differences between the Vietnamese and Taiwanese versions of the Vinoora. It is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. No power or torque spec has been revealed; the only detail shared is that the scooter returns a mileage of 57.7kmpl. That’s almost the same as what the Fascino 125 managed in our highway fuel-efficiency test run. It is 5kg lighter than the Fascino, though, tipping the scales at 94kg.

The Vinoora’s India launch isn’t on the cards. However, we are hoping Yamaha shares more details on its future plans after the launch of the FZ-X tomorrow.
