On paper, the Hyundai Verna’s turbo-petrol engine is 10 PS and 3 Nm more powerful than the Skoda Slavia’s engine. Can this on-paper difference translate to quicker acceleration time in the real-world?

The added performance helps the Verna edge out the Slavia in the outright acceleration test by almost a second. That said, the Slavia was the quicker one in the roll-on acceleration test, managing to beat the Verna by the slightest of margins.
