Mahindra XUV 3XO vs Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Turbo-petrol Or Naturally Aspirated For The Win?

Spec Check 

On paper, thanks to its turbocharged petrol engine, the XUV 3XO makes 27PS and a whopping 113Nm more than the Brezza. That said, the Brezza has a party trick: a mild-hybrid system which torque-assists the engine while pushing it hard. In this test, we compare both the automatic variants of the subcompact SUV.

Acceleration Test 

Thanks to its power advantage, the XUV 3XO, in the 0-100kmph run, was a whopping four seconds quicker than the Brezza. That’s quite a distance! But in the roll-on acceleration, the gap between both the cars reduces to a second, so the Mahindra again manages to edge ahead of the Maruti.

In the confines of this test, we have a clear winner: the Mahindra XUV 3XO. It beat the Brezza fair and square in both the outright acceleration and roll-on acceleration runs.
