However, the Kushaq offers more standard features in its base-spec variant, such as six airbags, which are available only in mid- and higher-spec variants of the Astor. MG has discontinued the 140 PS 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine of the Astor as a part of the latest model year update and it has been left with only the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor paired with either a manual or automatic transmission. The Kushaq, however, offers two distinct engine options 1-litre turbo-petrol unit and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor. The catch here is the latter does not come with a manual gearbox.
