Tata Motors launched the updated 2025 Tiago alongside the refreshed Tiago EV and Tigor in India a few days ago. The hatchback gets a slew of modern features, including a new touchscreen information display. The nip-and-tuck updates are mainly aimed at keeping the Tiago up to the minute. Similarly, Hyundai also updated the Grand i10 Nios with a new variant, called Sports (O), while the Corporate variant gets additional features. But which hatchback has a competitive edge over these updates? Take a look at this detailed comparison between the two to find out which hatchback is well worth considering.

There is a difference of Rs 92,000 in the starting prices of both the hatchbacks with the Grand i10 being pricier. On the other hand, the prices of the top-spec variants also have a difference of Rs 66,000. Here, the Grand i10 Nios commands that premium. Notably, the pricing of the 2025 Tiago and Grand i10 Nios also include CNG variants.

The 2025 Tiago facelift continues with the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine generating 86 PS and 113 Nm, while the Grand i10 Nios gets a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol motor that produces 83 PS and 113.8 Nm. As seen in the table, the Tiago makes slightly more power and torque than the Grand i10 Nios, irrespective of the powertrain. Not to mention the Tiago CNG can be paired with an AMT.
All in all, the 2025 Tata Tiago offers a better package on paper than the previous model. It is also one of the handful of models in the market to provide an automatic transmission with the CNG version. On the other hand, the Grand i10 Nios has offered more or less similar features to the recently launched Tiago. Plus, it gets a wireless charging pad and 6 airbags as standard, which the Tiago misses out on.
