The Peugeot Django has been spied on more than a couple of times since its first sighting in 2020. The scooter was previously spotted early last year; but in this recent sighting, it seems to have undergone a couple of changes that give it a near-production look. Here’s what we have observed:
The overall design of the scooter appears to be the same. The scooter still sports a single-piece seat instead of the split-seat arrangement found on the international variant. However, it now gets two proper grab handles at the back for pillion comfort and safety.
Another new key feature that we observed in this sighting was the new alloy wheels. The ones we saw last year were chunky with tightly spaced spokes, these new ones look smarter and well spaced out. The instrument cluster seen on the Django is a large rectangular unit, possibly an all-digital one, same as last year. But, it now gets a short windscreen over rectangular LED headlight shielding it.
Sadly, however, it’s unlikely that Peugeot will retail the Django in India despite it having a competitive space for 125cc scooters. That said, with the Django being produced in India, Peugeot will gain a significant cost advantage over its rivals in the international market.
