UPDATE: Maruti Suzuki has launched the Invicto MPV from Rs 24.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Invicto will go on sale on July 5.
It will have a similar dashboard layout as the Innova Hycross.
It will feature a black colour scheme with champagne highlights, unlike the brown theme interior of the Toyota MPV.
Propulsion duty will be carried out by a 2-litre petrol hybrid engine, mated to an e-CVT gearbox.
Maruti could only offer the Invicto in a single fully loaded variant, which could be priced around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
As we inch closer to the launch date of the Maruti Invicto, spy shots and teasers continue to emerge, revealing new details about the MPV. Now, just ahead of the Invicto's launch, clear images of its interior have surfaced on the internet. For the unknown, the Invicto is Maruti’s most premium MPV and is a rebadged Innova Hycross.
The Invicto features a similar dashboard layout to its Toyota counterpart. However, the Maruti MPV has a black interior highlights, unlike the brown upholstery in the Toyota MPV. The AC vents and center console in the Invicto are surrounded by champagne coloured elements, while the Hycross gets silver accents.
Similar to the Hycross, the Invicto will also have an extensive list of features, which will include a panoramic sunroof, digital driver's display, dual-zone AC, ventilated front seats and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, its safety kit is expected to include a full suite of advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features, marking the first time such features will be offered in a Maruti vehicle in India.
Currently, Maruti is only accepting orders for the top-spec strong-hybrid variant of the Invicto. Therefore, it will use the same 2-litre strong-hybrid powertrain as the Hycross, which has a combined output of 186PS and 206Nm, and comes mated to an e-CVT gearbox. The more affordable petrol-only engine may not be available with the Maruti MPV.
Maruti Invicto is expected to arrive in a single fully loaded variant, which could be priced over Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will lock horns with the Toyota Innova Hycross, and it will also be a premium alternative to the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo and Toyota Innova Crysta.
