Spotted testing once again in a production-ready avatar

It’s no big secret that Royal Enfield is working on a new roadster-like bike called the Hunter 350 for the 350cc segment. The bike has been spotted testing quite a few times in the past, but things have been quiet for some time now. Now, though, the Hunter 350 has yet again popped up on the radar,  looking ever closer to production.

In its latest sighting, the RE Hunter 350 bore the same design as we saw in its previous sightings. A round headlight, teardrop fuel tank, alloy wheels, and blacked-out mechanicals are all quite likable and lend the Hunter 350 a Triumph Street Twin-like silhouette.

Plus, the classic appeal, which RE is lauded for, has been kept intact by using round lights all around and fork gaiters up front.

Compared to its last sighting in November 2021, the Hunter 350 does seem closer to production but it’s still wrapped in a fair bit of cover, probably to hide the logos and graphics.

Like its old-school siblings, the Hunter 350 also seems quite ergonomically sorted. We say this because we can see the long, slightly scooped single-piece seat, low mid-set footpegs, and the slightly aggressive flat handlebar, all resulting in a rather neutral and comfortable riding triangle.

So what’s underneath all this? Well, essentially the same J-series 349cc engine we already find on the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350. We’d love it if Royal Enfield tweaks the motor a bit to enhance the riding experience.

And like its siblings, the Hunter 350 will be packed with features. We can spot a twin-pod instrument cluster with Tripper pod, dual-channel ABS, and halogen lights. The instrument cluster and switchgear will come directly from the Meteor 350.

We expect the bike to break cover soon, priced at around Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom). Once here, it’ll go against the Yezdi Roadster, the Honda CB350RS, and possibly the upcoming Triumph-Bajaj bike.
