The Aprilia RS 350 will make its debut early next year

A spy shot of a mysterious, heavily camouflaged supersport being tested in Maharashtra has surfaced on the Internet. Going by the styling, it is clear that it is an Aprilia product and making it interesting is the fact that this is not from the Italian brand’s global lineup.

The supersport is seen donning the iconic tri-headlight design with the swooping LED DRLs, similar to what the current generation RS 660 and RSV4 sport. Though it is hard to figure out the details, the muscular fuel tank and beefy panels are similar to the brand’s mid-displacement supersport.

Aprilia hasn’t skimped on the underpinnings, either. The development mule features a USD fork and monoshock setup, an aluminium swingarm and what appears to be a TFT console. The riding triangle doesn’t seem aggressive, either. Look closely and you’ll notice that the bike sports raised clip-on handlebars, similar to the RS 660.

While it’s too early to speculate anything about the engine, Aprilia’s small supersport could be using a 350cc-380cc, liquid-cooled motor. This would pit it against the likes of the TVS Apache RR 310, BMW G 310 RR and KTM RC 390.

The Aprilia RS 660 comes loaded with electronic aids, but with this ‘RS 350,’ Aprilia could stick to the basics like ABS and Bluetooth connectivity. Although, having traction control and ride/ABS modes would give the Italian bike an edge over its competition.

This was the first sighting of the Aprilia RS 350, and we expect the bike to come only by March 2024. Aprilia could price this supersport at around Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Interestingly, KTM has also begun testing the next-generation RC 390, which should spice things up even more.
