Quick Highlights:
Triumph Scrambler T4 has been spotted testing in India
The bike could have the same engine tuning as the Speed T4
Expected to be launched in March 2025 and be about Rs 15,000 cheaper than the Scrambler 400X
Triumph India recently launched the Speed T4 in India, a bike which is based on the Speed 400 but is marginally cheaper than it and receives some major changes. From the looks of it, Triumph plans to do the same with the Scrambler 400 X and so the Scrambler T4 has been spotted testing.
The Triumph Scrambler T4 has a similar overall design to the Scrambler 400 X but there are some changes which will allow the Scrambler T4 to be priced more affordably. The most noticeable ones being the lack of a headlight grill, a smaller visor which we have seen on the Speed 400, a flatter handlebar with no knuckle guards, different side panels, a normal seat unlike the quilted one on the Scrambler 400X, and a different rear section – especially the panels and tail light. We also expect the Scrambler T4 to get different paint schemes for it to differentiate from the Scrambler 400 X.
On the mechanical side of things, the Scrambler T4 is expected to get the same de-tuned engine as the Speed T4. It is a 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 31PS at 7000rpm and 36Nm at 5000rpm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine makes 9PS and 1.5Nm less than the Triumph Scrambler 400X and the Speed 400 which will allow the Scrambler T4 to be more affordable.
The spied Scrambler T4 shares the same semi-digital instrument cluster as the Scrambler 400X but may miss out on some features to reduce the costs further. The bike will continue to get a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels setup with block pattern tyres, a telescopic fork and a monoshock, and a 320mm front disc brake and a 230mm rear disc along with dual-channel ABS which is switchable at the rear.
The Triumph Scrambler T4 is expected to be launched in March 2025 and we expect the bike to be around Rs 15,000 cheaper than the current Triumph Scrambler 400X which is priced at Rs 2,64,496 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This means the Scrambler T4 could be priced for around Rs 2,50,000 (ex-showroom).
