You have seen the exterior of the Tata Curvv and Tata Curvv EV, but its interiors are yet to be revealed. Until now that is as the Indian carmaker has given us a first look at its dashboard layout via a couple of design sketches. The Tata Curvv EV will be launched first on August 7, while the ICE version is expected to go on sale post the former’s introduction.
It’s safe to say that based on these design sketches, both the Tata Curvv and Curvv EV’s dashboard layout is identical to the Nexon. It gets a freestanding 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and touch-based climate controls. Bits like the drive mode selector and gear knob are also common between both of them.
While these sketches show the presence of a two-spoke steering wheel, the final production model, based on what we have seen in spy shots, is expected to get the four-spoke one from the Harrier and Safari.
In terms of features, the Tata Curvv is expected to come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat and multi-colour ambient lighting.
Passenger safety is expected to be taken care of by six airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control and ADAS.
Starting with the ICE version, the Tata Curvv is expected to be offered with a new 125 PS 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol and a Nexon-sourced 115 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. A 6-speed manual is expected as standard, while the turbo-petrol engine is likely to get a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The automatic option for the diesel engine is yet to be determined.

Technical specifications for the Tata Curvv EV are yet to be determined. But based on Tata’s other offerings, we expect it to be available in two versions – Medium Range and Long Range – with a claimed range of around 500 km.
The Tata Curvv is expected to be priced from around Rs 10.5 lakh, while the electric version could start from around Rs 20 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).
The ICE version will go up against the Citroen Basalt as well as other compact SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun. The electric version will lock horns with the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3 as well as the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX.
