Honda has given the WR-V a mid-life refresh with prices starting from Rs 8.50 lakh. It not only features 1.5-litre BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engines, but also sports cosmetic changes and feature additions. One of the main changes in this update is the more streamlined variant lineup. The base-spec S MT and mid-spec diesel-only V MT have been axed with a new SV variant taking over as the only variant below the top-spec VX variant. Here’s what each variant packs:
SV
Price Range: Rs 8.50 lakh (Petrol MT) and Rs 9.80 lakh (Diesel MT) (ex-showroom)
We start off with the new base variant called the SV. Being the only variant below the VX variant, it is fairly loaded with exterior highlights such as halogen headlamps with LED DRLs and body-coloured outside door handles. The new base variant does get additional bits like the revised chrome front grille, and new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels (4-spoke for petrol and 5-spoke for diesel variants).
Heading inside, the SV variant gets features like a large screen MID, auto climate control, electronically adjustable ORVMs, height-adjustable driver seat and steering-mounted controls. There are plenty of new additions such as the DigiPad 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that was initially exclusive to the top-spec VX variant, inbuilt navigation, voice command, and IR remote control. It also gets a new upholstery as well as chrome inserts on the AC vents and steering wheel controls.
