S1 X Key Highlights
Price: The Ola S1 X (2kWh) is priced at Rs 64,999, the S1 X (3kWh) comes at Rs 77,999 and the Ola S1 X (4kWh) is available for Rs 91,999. The Ola S1 X+ costs Rs 94,999 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru, including EMPS or Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024).
Design: The Ola S1 X looks sleeker than the rest of the S1 range thanks to the smaller headlight cowl, it also has a small fly screen. That said, the apron and the side panel design look similar to the regular S1. Another important visual differentiator is the blacked-out steel wheels. Whereas, like all ola scooters, it now comes with a telescopic fork.
Features: The Ola S1 X gets various features including a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity through the Ola Electric App. It has two riding modes: Eco and Sport. The scooter also gets a reverse mode, side stand alert, and cruise control.
Motor: The Ola S1 X is powered by a hub motor with a 2.7kW continuous power output and a 6kW peak for all four variants. The top speed in S1 X (2kWh) variant is capped at 85kmph, whereas S1 X (3kWh), S1 X (4kWh) and S1 X+ have 90kmph top speed. All three variants get Eco, Normal and Sports riding modes. The 2kWh variant accelerates from 0 to 60kmph in 7.9 seconds, while the S1 X 3kWh, 4kWh and S1 X+ reach 0 to 60kmph in 5.5 seconds. As the name suggests, the 2kWh variant comes with a 2kWh battery pack and provides a 95km range in Indian Driving Conditions (IDC). Both S1 X 3kWh and S1 X+ variants feature a 3kWh battery pack and deliver 143km and 151km IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) ranges, respectively. Meanwhile, the variant with the 4kWh battery pack has an impressive 190km IDC range.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The electric scooter features a tubular and sheet metal frame. It is equipped with a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. The S1 X gets drum brakes on both ends to manage costs. It is paired with CBS (Combined Braking System), and rides on blacked-out 12-inch steel wheels, wrapped with 90-section tyres on both ends. The S1 X has a 738mm long seat with a seat height of 805mm. It has a ground clearance of 160mm. The 2kWh variant has a weight of 101kg, the 3kWh variant weighs 108kg and the 4kWh variant tips the scale at 112kg (all kerb).
Rivals: The Ola S1 X goes up against the likes of the Hero Electric Optima, Okinawa PraisePro, and Ampere Magnus EX. Other alternatives in the petrol-powered scooter segment include the Honda Activa 6G, TVS Jupiter 110, TVS Scooty Pep Plus, and Hero Pleasure Plus.
Range: The ARAI-certified range for the Ola S1X 2kWh, 3kWh, S1X+ and the S1X 4kWh variant stands at 95km, 143km, 151km, and 190km, respectively.
Charging Time: Charging times from 0 to 100 percent for the 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh variants are 5 hours, 7.4 hours, and 6.5 hours, respectively. The S1 X+ also has a 3kWh battery pack, hence, it takes 7.4 hours to charge.
