The Raida AeroPrix Motorcycle Gloves are full-gauntlet riding gloves that prove to be a versatile option for riders looking for a pair they can use on track and for road riding as well. Here's a detailed review of these gloves after we spent the last few months using them in different conditions.
The gloves are made of full-grain leather with TPR (thermoplastic rubber) protectors on the knuckles and fingers for impact resistance. They get the Knox Scaphoid Protection System (SPS) on the palms to minimize injuries during falls and a wrist cuff with CE Level 1 Impacton foam for added safety and a double wrist velcro closure that improves the level of protection. Even after months of use the gloves maintained their shape, and have not shown any heavy signs of wear and tear.
These gloves have a leather construction with synthetic suede reinforcements in high-wear areas. There are perforated sections that are said to enhance airflow, particularly around the fingers, while the palm integrates abrasion-resistant panels. They are not the most ventilated while riding for longer hours but feel sturdy and confidence-inspiring, allowing riders to push harder while riding on the track.
The overall fitting of these gloves is really good with the pre-curved finger inserts and the flex panels that reduce fatigue during long rides. I usually wear gloves in size XL and this pair in the same size fit perfectly. They are offered in three colour schemes and six sizes ranging from S to XXL. Additionally, the double-wrist velcro closure provides a secure fit.
In the feature department, these gloves get touchscreen-compatible fingertips, a visor wiper on the left index finger to help during the rains, and reflective 3M patches below the knuckles for better visibility at night.
Priced at Rs 4,999, these gloves are affordable compared to other full-gauntlet options. They offer good safety and features for the price. They might not be the most ventilated pair, although they offer great protection and feel sturdy for spirited riding. Overall, the Raida AeroPrix gloves are a versatile option, well-suited for daily commuting, weekend rides, and track days, offering a good mix of safety, comfort, and practicality at an accessible price.
