Toyota's brilliant Etios checked all the boxes for an entry level sedan, and now with a diesel option it is finally a complete product. Let's take a look at what Toyota's latest oil burner is going up against

Maruti Suzuki Swift D’zire

Essentially a Swift with a boot, the D’zire was just what the people needed. Adequately spacious, massive boot space and that brilliant DDiS oil burner under the hood. While the D’zire was not the prettiest car to look at, it definitely was one of the most practical choices one could make. With a waiting period of over a month, the car was definitely d’zired by one and all. With the new Swift out now, the new D’zire is sure to follow and will be the car to beat.

Mahindra Verito

The Renault Logan was recently re-christened the Mahindra Verito. However it’s only the name that’s changed and not the characteristics that made it such a good seller. Space and sturdiness is what the Verito stands for and now with facelift as well, the Verito looks way better than its predecessor. The 1.5 DCi engine is frugal and torquey enough to make a good commuter. It comes with a whole load of features as well making the Verito an extremely good option.

Tata Manza

Thanks to its size, the Manza feels like a class above this segment, however, thanks to Tata’s amazing pricing strategy, you get a lot of car for a lot less money. The Manza has loads of space, comes loaded with all the features one could ask for and drives pretty well too, thanks to the Quadrajet mill. Its extremely fuel efficient as well. Value for money has always been Tata’s USP and the Manza is no different.
