Design: The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is based on the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650’s platform but there are a lot of design changes. It gets a chopped rear fender design, different headlight cowl, flatter handlebar with bar-end mirrors, mid-set footpegs, twin blacked-out and slightly upswept peashooter exhausts.
Features: The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 comes with an LED headlight, LED tail light, and bulb indicators. The 650cc Royal Enfield bobber gets a semi-digital instrument cluster, same as the one in the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. The motorcycle also gets a removable pillion seat, along with several practicality and aesthetics-enhancing accessories.
Engine: The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 gets the same 648cc parallel-twin cylinder air-oil-cooled engine producing 47PS at 7,250rpm and 52.3Nm at 5,650rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a claimed mileage of 22kmpl.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The suspension setup consists of a specially tuned 43mm big piston Showa fork with 120mm wheel travel and twin rear shock absorbers with 5-step preload adjustability and 90mm travel. Stopping the bobber is a 320mm front disc brake and a 300mm rear disc brake, with dual-channel ABS. It gets 100-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tyres with an 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup. It has a seat height of 795mm, a kerb weight of 240kg and ground clearance of 140mm.
Rivals: The Shotgun 650 is the only 650cc bobber in India. Its other alternatives in the 300cc segment include the Jawa Perak and the Jawa 42 Bobber.
