-
A TImeless Design
- A classy design that will stand the test of time well
- Has a hint of the more premium Octavia / Superb to it when viewed from different angles
- New Monte Carlo and Sportline variants with blacked out design touches look sporty
- No major design differentiations between 1-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines, unlike rivals
-
Well Designed Interior, But Few Flaws
- Interior, once again like the exterior, is classy and elegant
- Good choice of colours such as black and beige theme with contrasting copper inserts
- Material quality, fit and finish not up to the standards Skodas are usually associated with
- Central locking and start stop button is awkwardly located on the left side of the gear lever
-
Is The Skoda Slavia Spacious?
- Two six footers can sit back to back with ample legroom and headroom
- Rear bench is well designed and offers satisfactory underthigh and lateral support
- Larger 521-litre boot means it’s perfect for those who tend to pack heavy
- Narrow cabin width makes this car’s rear seat best for two rather than three
-
Gets All You Need, But Few Misses
- 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- 8-inch digital driver’s display
- Powered front seats with ventilation
- 8-speaker sound system with decent sound quality
- Single-pane sunroof.
- Rear parking camera could have had better resolution
- 360-degree camera is given a miss
-
What About Safety Features?
- Six airbags, ABS with EBD and electronic stability control is standard
- Rear parking sensors
- Gets 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP
- ADAS and front parking sensors are not available, considering rivals get it
-
How Does The Skoda Slavia Perform?
- 1-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines offer more than satisfactory performance
- Both engines score high when it comes to fun to drive factor
- Automatic transmissions on both the engines are smooth and quick to respond
- 1-litre turbo-petrol engine isn’t as fuel efficient as the larger 1.5-litre engine, which gets cylinder deactivation tech
-
How Does The Skoda Slavia Handle?
- It’s easily one of the most fun to drive cars in its class
- Feels composed and reassuring, both in the corners and on the straight line
- Opportunity exists for special 1.5-litre turbo-petrol variants with tighter handling
-
Is The Skoda Slavia A Comfortable Car?
- The Skoda Slavia rides well and can deal with our road conditions
- Filters out potholes and undulations with a near flat ride quality
- 189mm of unladen ground clearance means one can tackle large speed breakers without scraping
-
Who Should Buy The Skoda Slavia?
- The Skoda Slavia is for those who love driving and prefer to be behind the wheel
- Elegant looks, a classy looking interior and a comfortable cabin is an added bonus
- Could have done with a bit more features to make it even more value for money
