About Tata Indigo eCS
Tata Indigo eCS retails in the Indian market in the price range of Rs 5.09-6.28 lakh (ex-
showroom, Delhi). On the outside, the features on Indigo eCS include dual chamber
headlamp, body coloured door handles, outside rear view mirrors with chrome accent, rear
fog lamps, and rear Chrome garnish. Inside the cabin, Tata has equipped eCS with fabric seat
upholstery, dual tone interiors, front power outlet, tachometer, glove box, air conditioner with
heater, and front and rear power windows. The Indigo eCS comes powered by a single option
of 1.4-liter 4-cylinder common rail turbocharged diesel engine putting out a maximum power
of 70 PS along with 140 Newton metre of Max torque, coupled with a 5-speed manual
transmission sending the drive to the front Wheels of the car. In the Indian market, the Indigo
eCS is competing against the likes of Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, and Hyundai Xcent
among others.
Tata Indigo eCS Overview
The Tata Indigo eCS soldiers on even as the compact-sedan segment gets refreshed with more modern competition. The demand from the taxi segment in India is the only reason why the eCS is still on sale here.
The Indigo eCS is available in five variants - 1 petrol (ARAI-certified mileage of 15.6kmpl), 1 CNG/petrol (ARAI-certified mileage of24.6kmpkg) and 3 diesel (ARAI-certified mileage of 25kmpl). It is currently priced from Rs 5.03 lakh to Rs 6.25 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
The Indigo eCS was the successor of the Indigo CS - the first ever compact sub 4-metre sedan to be launched in the country. Launched in 2010, the eCS was given a facelift in 2013 and has since not received any further updates.

- It lasted me 8 good years without hiccups. The body though started giving me issues. The door hinges rusts fast and after 1 lakh kms a visible NVH is noticed.
