About Tata Nano
Tata Nano is the most affordable car commercially available in Indian market and can be had in the price range of Rs 2.26-3.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The highlight of Tata Nano is its funky design that is surprisingly spacious and astonishingly practical. Unlike all other small cars, Tata Nano is a genuine 4-seater and offers loads of leg room and head room to its occupants. The car is powered by a rear mounted 624 cc petrol engine putting out 38 PS and 51 Nm of maximum torque. The gearbox features 5-speed ratio and the boot capacity is rated at 94-litre. Tata Nano comes with the features like central locking, rear seat belts, child lock etc. but doesn't get the airbag even as an optional feature. There is no direct rival to Tata Nano in terms of pricing although it is compared against the likes of Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon, and Datsun redi-Go among others.

Q. If price of Tata Nano come under 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh it will be very good to poor people?
- It is one of the best cars i have used. - it comes with affordable price which means your maintenance and mileage also suits your budget.- within 2 lakh you get Automatic version of second hand for people who feels uncomfortable post buying. You'll be lucky.
- Of course Yes!! But trust me they will not buy it. They will still say 'Alto lelo. 800cc ki hai...' Hahaha. They will not see Nano's inside space and mileage...
- Absoulutely, its a pretty pony car and very pocket friendly in terms of maintainance. Strong crumple zone it has and strong enough compared to few cars
Q. How is Maruti Alto 800 compared with Tata Nano?
- The Nano is better in the areas of space, ease of driving, build quality,a/c,etc. As a city car it works better than the Alto
- Only engine and may be brakes and suspension, nano does the job withbetter larger interior space, high ground clearance, micro suv feeling better looks(from next gen+twist).
- Alto is better than nano
Q. Is it ok to drive Nano at 110 km/h speed?
- If your Nano is not stable at 110 means check your rear arms and tyre alignment, it's more stable than Alto and wagon r during that speed , my nano cuts off at 118kmph according to speedo, I never faced any stability issue till date. Even in cornering it's stable. My nano done 96000kms till date. No issue at all
- I did few times..max 105 kmph... after which the engine cuts off.. it us highly unstable at that speeds... mind you..pot holes...emergency breaking..lane changes.... can cause devastating accidents. It is not comfortable.. going straight for since distance I'd okay... for fun.. make sure you are fully focused
- You Can Drive it but 110 is Top Speed of Your Nano. There is some Engine Crackling sound on this Top Speed. I advice you to drive your Nano Upto 100 smoothly...
