- Regular servicing is around the Rs. 7000–8000/- mark, but the service at 20,000 kms requires the engine head to be opened and the valve clearances to be adjusted. It requires adjustment of 12 valve shims (4 valves per cylinder x 3 cylinders) and costs a whopping Rs. 25,000/- for that service.
- The ground clearance is 200mm

- If you want an offroading bike you can buy the Tiger 800 or the Bmw 1250 gsa

- Typically service costs are around 7 to 8 k. Labour costs at the dealers can be a bit intimidating. A recent rear brake pads replacement cost me 3K plus with labour. Genuine parts are also pretty expensive but then you get what you pay for. Quality is top notch. Service intervals are also spaced out.

- The XC variants are the more off road oriented Tigers. XCa is the top spec one. WP suspension, spoked wheel and tubed tyres, raised fender, aux lights and heated grips and seat make it the most expensive.XCx has the tubeless alloy wheels. Doesn't have the WP suspension. Not sure about differences in rider modes and electronics. There is a lower height XRx that can be ordered I think.
- Im around 5,10 and with the lowest seat setting, its all right. But Ive got to wear proper shoes. My advice is to go to a dealer and check it out first hand. The XRX models have a lower height model that you can order. Please ask the dealer about such an option.Happy riding.

4.6Xc variants
Own the XCx variant. Only downsides are the kerb weight, size and heat that is generated by the amazing triple engine. Love the acceleration in spite of its adv motorcycle tag. Rider and pillion comfort are amazing. The WP suspension was made for India. The XC variants are the more off road oriented Tigers which for me means Indian road conditions in general 😂. Great for monsoon conditions. Has a lot of different things - traction control, abs, suspension settings, preload, damping and rebound etc. Different rider modes. I don"t know anything about them. Ride it just the way it was delivered to me. 🙄. All in all a wonderful touring machine.
