- Maintenance cost of vento highline petrol AT is 8-9k per service in one yr only
- Mine is Vento highline 2013 model. On highway It give me 22-23 when you go on 80-90 kmph, and will give you around 20-21 when you go on till 110. Maintenance will be 13K when you go for VW showroom servicing every year, and will cost 6-7k when you get it done outside work shops. Parts will be costlier but will last long. I loved vento than others.
- To be honest I am not checking on the mileage. But I guess I get a decent 12/13 for city commute with a occasional highway trip once a month included.
- Maintenance cost as in other answers.petrol option is Honda city. Both for manual and automatic. Diesel manual you can trust verna crde.Diesel at verna has introduced 7 speed replacing old 5 good ,long term issues we have to see .But it's worth. you have to stretch you budget to higher side.
- Don't buy automatic vento
- Automatic petrol its always vento tsi dsg
- Verna... I'm regretting buying a vento
- Maruti has been here for long parts tested in our country.German counterparts test sensors outside India so it has inherited the problem of bad diesel fuel gauge issues same for renault.brand. Then Tata and mahindra should use it the most .they are coming up especially Tata new cars. To be specific the problem is the same in all ventos its cost cutting issues fuel gauge sensor replacements. our roads can be blamed for some issues like suspension regardless of brands. There duster scores .Also thar and bolero make sense in the condition. thanks
- If you are looking for build quality and good ride comfort go for the Volkswagen or the Skoda, if you want your car packed with features go for honda, Hyundai, or even maruthi
- Ford ,Volkswagen, TATA ,TOyota,
- Vento is in a different league.petrol ciaz is peppy and fastoverall vento is the choice.
- Ciaz can never be matched vento except looks
- Of course, VENTO is better .it has super built quality, excellent stability, and good performance....,the only thing that ciaz got is better mileage and resale value..., don't buy ciaz if you are looking for a stable and safe car.

4.0Heavy luggage
The vehicle delivers close to 16 km mileage with 4 people and speed of 100 km/h on high way with heavy luggage. In city, May be around 10 km per liter.Excellent pick up and handling.Very safe car.Strong body.I have been parking my car next to sea shore, Still it hasn't shown signs of rust.Till date it did not invite much of maintenance cost (done 34000km only in 4 years). But, If something breaks inside the cabin ( plastic parts) like switches and all, Its very difficult to get them replaced. You wont get it! other wise it is an excellent car.Authorized service stations are few.Do not go for it of you aren't near any sow room service stations.I would also suggest not to meddle with any of its sensors and electrical systems like, Fitting extra lights etc.

5.0Super safe
Vento is complete value for money, With a zippy 1.6 diesel engine, Super safe at high speeds, Being a sedan has a low cg which makes it very easy to handle on treacherous hilly roads, The quality of plastics in the interior and the leatherette used is very superior. After nine years of use it still feels new, It has given me a fuel economy of 17 kmpl in the city, 21 to 23 on the highway @ 100 to 130 speed, And uphill drive 17 to 18 and downhill drive 25 to 30 kmpl.Maint average cost is about 12k annual.

4.7Sudden problem
I have the vento automatic-my second vento - a gr8 and power packed vehicle. 1.5 litre diesel automatic TDI engine just makes it the top of the line sedan. Feature and comfort-wise the car is gr8. Driving this powerpacked car is a lot of fun but the only sudden problem is the mileage issue - the mileage has suddenly reduced after the first service check - dont really know what the problem is but excluding this issue - the vehicle is running perfectly. I do1 a lot of intercity driving so mileage on the highway is not an issue -approx 20 and #25 if drive @80-100kmph (self tested) City mileage approx 13-15kmpl.
