Price: Aprilia has priced the SXR 160 at Rs 1,46,209 (ex-showroom). It is available in only one variant and four colours - blue, black, white and red.

Features: The SXR 160 packs a fully digital LCD instrument cluster with a speedometer, tachometer, mileage indicator, and average and top speed display. It gets an LED headlight with LED DRLs and an LED taillight, a tall windscreen, and a flat floorboard. You also have extra storage in the apron and a mobile charging port in case your smartphone runs out of battery.

Engine: The SXR160 is powered by the same 160cc BS6-compliant air-cooled single-cylinder engine as the SR160. It produces 10.9PS at 7200rpm and 11.6Nm at 5500rpm.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Aprilia SXR 160 gets a telescopic fork and a monoshock suspension setup, while a braking setup of a 220mm front disc brake and a 140mm rear drum brake with single-channel ABS. The maxi-scooter gets 120/70-12 tyres at both ends and a fuel tank capacity of 7 litres.

I really liked its design..

I really liked its design.. super sexy looking maxy style scooter. It looks like R15 v3 when low beam is turned on. Acceleration is also good. sxr 160 is the king of cornering. It is suitable for long rides too

Pricing too high for this scooter

The looks and design of Aprilia SXR 160 are similar to Aprilia SXR 125 but performance is upgraded and boosted. the engine is now more powerful and smooth and the handling is also made very soft. the mileage offered in urban areas is around 33-38 kmpl. the suspension is little bit stiff and the brakes are not much responsive. The main demerit of this scooter is it's pricing as it is very high than other scooters of this segment.

High speed stability

The premium and maxi style Aprilia SXR 160 scooter has every feature you could possibly need. While the suspension design provides excellent high speed stability and the longest seat in the class, it is an uncomfortable ride. The brakes could be improved, but the acceleration is very smooth and handles well in traffic. The scooter functionality and fit and finish are all very good, but its comfort and spacing are not. The engine is expensive even though it is powerful and provides a good package.

exceeding the limits

Aprilia sxr 160 has a similar design of sxr 125 but the performance is an enhanced. my experience with this scooter is moderate as the mileage is not appreciable and the maintenance cost is also little bit costly. the only thing I liked is it's design otherwise on the basis of performance, comfort and durability I will not prefer to buy such expensive two wheeler for daily commuters.
