Aston Martin Rapide

Aston Martin has revealed the first vehicle in its Lagonda EV division, the Rapid E. Unveiled at the Auto Shanghai 2019, the Rapide E is limited to just 155 units. Powering the Rapide E are twin electric motors mounted at the rear. Stats for the EV stand at 604PS and 950Nm of torque, 0-to-100kmph in 4.2 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. Powering the Rapide E is an 800V battery pack which is encased in a carbon fibre casing with a 65kWh installed capacity. The Rapide E also gets few bits that set it apart from its V12-powered sibling. These include a new grille, aerodynamic 21-inch wheels and a redesigned underbody and rear cladding. On the inside, the Rapid E gets a fully digital drivers display and an 8-inch infotainment system. You also get splashes of carbon fibre for a sporty ambience. The Rapide E competes with the Tesla Model S.
