The Ather 450X stands out as the most exciting electric scooter currently available in the Indian market. The 2025 model gets a bunch of new updates to further enhance the riding experience. It now carries a slightly higher price tag and riders that want a scooter equipped with all of the features will have to purchase the Pro pack separately. 450X Key Highlights
Price: The Ather 450X is available in two variants: 2.9kWh and 3.4kWh. The 2.9kWh is priced at Rs 1,46,999 while the 3.7kWh is priced at Rs 1,56,999 (both prices ex-showroom, Bangalore).
Design: The Ather 450X is a sporty looking scooter with its design characterised by an apron-mounted LED headlight and sleek body panels. The e-scooter has a flat floorboard that extends to the sides, serving as pillion footrests. At the rear, the LED tail lamp extends downward, incorporating turn signals which also adds a nice touch to the overall design of the scooter.
Features: The Ather 450X gets an all-LED lighting system, with a guide-me-home headlight feature. Its 7-inch touchscreen TFT screen offers integrated Google Maps navigation, five ride modes (Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp), WhatsApp connectivity, live location sharing and Alexa voice commands. Additional features include self-canceling indicators, emergency stop signal (which flash indicators during sudden braking), crash alerts, regenerative coasting, Magic Twist (a reverse throttle-activated regenerative braking system), and adjustable traction control with three modes: Rain, Road, and Rally. The electric scooter offers a spacious 22-liter under-seat storage compartment.
Motor: The Ather 450X features a PMS (Permanent Magnet Synchronous) motor that produces a peak output of 6.4kW and 26Nm. The e-scooter has five riding modes. It does 0-40kmph acceleration in a claimed 3.3 seconds, which is 0.6 seconds quicker than the 450S. The e-scooter has a claimed top speed of 90kmph.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Ather 450X remains mechanically unchanged for 2025 and still gets an aluminium frame, a telescopic fork and a rear monoshock. Brakes include a 200mm front disc and a 190mm rear disc, with CBS (Combined Braking System) and regenerative braking. The scooter has a 170mm ground clearance and has a convenient seat height of 780mm. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with a 90-section front tyre and 100-section rear tyre, both tubeless.
Rivals: The Ather 450X competes with the Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube ST and Bajaj Chetak in India.

Charging Time: The scooter is powered by a 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery pack depending on the variant. The 2.9kWh variant takes 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 percent using a home charger, while the 3.7kWh variant takes 5 hours and 45 minutes.
