One of India’s most popular actor, Aamir Khan was on the receiving end of unnecessary rage after his comments on the ‘intolerance’ debate. The ‘PK’ actor could now regain some lost love from the ‘patriotic’ faction of his fans though, after he recently bought a Bajaj V15, made from the INS Vikrant’s metal.

Aamir, who was seen riding a variety of superbikes in the movie ‘Dhoom 3,’ had placed an order to buy the 150cc bike some time back. Upon learning of his friend’s request, Bajaj Auto managing director, Rajiv Bajaj decided to do something special for him, informed a press release.

Bajaj V15 customisation

He contacted Aamir and decided to have a unique customisation done for his Bajaj V.  Aamir’s version of the bike has a customised embossing of the initial A on the fuel tank and one-off graphic design of ‘Chote Lal’ affectionately inscribed on the rear seat cowl, added the release.

Aamir was excited to receive the new bike from Rajiv Bajaj at his residence. “The V is a special bike and I wouldn’t compare it with anything else. It has a piece of history ingrained into it. For me it’s a proud moment to own a piece of metal from INS Vikrant which was the military pride of India for decades,” said the actor.

The Bajaj V was unveiled just before the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi, earlier this year, while the deliveries started in March 23. Made by the metal from the decommissioned aircraft carrier, the bike sold around 10,000 units on the first day of availability.
