Prominent artists from the glamour world have often plied their trade for the automotive industry. Going one step further, music composer Clinton Cerejo has recently created an innovative brand of music from the country’s second largest car manufacturer Hyundai’s Elite i20; and to the delight of many a young music fan, has got popular singer Arijit Singh to lend his voice for the resulting song, ‘Drive Mein Junoon.’

The unique track is composed from as many as 118 sounds derived exclusively from the Elite i20, all of which were recorded in just a single day, informed a press release. Interestingly, the video does not feature any musical instruments and is a first-of-its-kind for any carmaker in India.
The sounds include the sound of wipers, pulling of the hand brake, turning the indicator on and off, seat belt warning sound, opening and shutting of door and windows, engine revving etc, added the release.
The music director for the video, Clinton Cerejo said that the challenge was to derive sounds from the car and create a song without using any other instruments except car sounds and voices. “At the same time I had to ensure the track was modern and has an instant appeal to the modern discerning Indian. I'm really happy because when I hear the finished product I feel we achieved both objectives,” he added.
